Important Information
Attendance is essential. If a student misses more than 2 classes in a month we recommend scheduling a private lesson to catch up. (Fees apply.) Please encourage your child to attend each class. Students who are ill should stay home and rest. In case of long-term injury or illness, please discuss it with the teacher or the owner of the studio.
Please make sure your child is on time for class, wears appropriate clothing and brings his/her dance shoes and a bottle of water. No gum, toys, and jewelry at the studio.
Clothing: Comfortable clothing that is age appropriate and considered 'casual dressy'. Pants and shirt for boys, dress, pants/skirt and shirt for girls. Please no jeans, sweats or shorts.
Shoes: The most important tool a dancer has is his/her shoe. This is not an arbitrary aesthetic or fashion consideration. To dance, you need the "right tool for the job." Proper dance shoes are literally the foundation for good dancing! Parents, visitors, and young siblings of dancers are requested to maintain a quiet and controlled demeanor while at the Heart & Sole Dance Studio. Classes must not be disturbed by loud voices, running, noise, etc. If guests become a distraction to the dancers, they will be asked to leave.
No food or drinks other than bottled water are allowed at the studio.
Children under 12 must be taken to and picked up from class by a parent, guardian or older sibling. Student drop-off and pick-up must be approached with safety taking priority over convenience. Older dancers are reminded to use the utmost safety when entering and exiting the building.
Classes get canceled from time to time (teacher illness, bad weather. etc.) We will promptly advise parents using the contact information you provide. We will make every effort to schedule a make-up class if it is necessary.
We will have a recital at the end of the season. Date will be announced later. Private lesson students are included in the recital. Fees apply which will include drinks and food. Price will be announced as soon as we work out the details.
